Electronic Billboard Technology Taps DDB Executive

Austin, Texas – March 7, 2002 – A veteran of the advertising industry, Jake Schroepfer, has resigned as President and CEO of DDB Dallas, to become President and CEO of EBT (Electronic Billboard Technology), a subsidiary of SI Diamond Technology, Inc (OTC BB: SIDT). EBT markets innovative digital point-of-sale solutions. "I'm very excited about this opportunity to be on the leading edge of technology enabled point-of-sale advertising. The market is untapped and offers a huge opportunity for EBT," said Schroepfer.

Schroepfer has been a leader in the marketing communications business for the past 20 years. For the past 6 years he has been President and CEO of the Dallas office of DDB Worldwide. In 2001, ADWEEK reported DDB Dallas capitalized billings to be $210 million. Prior to DDB, Schroepfer founded Tracy-Locke Promotional Marketing in Dallas. During the 1990's, he led both agencies to "Agency of the Year" status in their respective disciplines (advertising and sales promotion). He is the only person to ever accomplish such a feat. Schroepfer started his marketing communication career at DDB Worldwide in 1981.

"Jake's broad experience with world-class clients and agencies combined with EBT's proprietary display technologies, makes him uniquely qualified to take our company to a leadership position in this space," said Marc Eller, Chairman and CEO of SI Diamond Technology, Inc. "He has a proven track record in building quality companies that innovate in the marketing communications field."
